Our master jeweler, Janet Vitkavage, graduated from Hofstra University, Summa Cum Laude, with a BS in Fine Arts and a concentration in Metalry.
Janet began her career as an apprentice jeweler at Tiffany & Company in 1975. She provided many of the models for Elsa Peretti and Angela Cummings. From 1975 to 1985, Janet taught jewelry design and fabrication at the Jewelry Institute in Manhattan as well as worked at various companies that made jewelry for the finest stores, museums, and galleries in New York. From 1985 to 1994 she worked for David Webb specializing in Webb's signature animal designs.
Janet joined E.F. Watermelon full time in 1996 and has built beautiful jewels with the gallery's extensive gemstone collection. Truly a master jeweler, she will design and fabricate with clients to achieve the heirlooms of the future.
